DTBird® was selected to participate in the project due to its unique features and data transparency. The project LIFE12 BIO/GR/000554 is a product of the collaboration between The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES) and the environmental consulting company Nature Conservation Consultants (NCC), with the contribution of EU's financial instrument LIFE+. DTBird® has been installed at the Wind Farm and the Park of Energy Awareness (PENA) of CRES at Keratea (Greece), where it will be operating for 3 years.
DTBat
DTBird has started protecting birds and monitoring bats in Martifer/Ikea Wind Farm in Podkarpackie. Currently, DTBird is monitoring/protecting birds/bats in France, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland and Spain. Available worldwide. November 2013.
EDF is the fourth company signing a second contract with DTBird. March 2014
DTBird multiply by 16 Data Analysis Platform Servers Capabilites to continue providing access to all historical bird flights of all clients. This service started in June 2012, and currently stores more tan 100.000 bird flights.

DTBird install the second electrically self-contained in a Meteorological Tower. The first one was installed in Spain in June 2015 and activates the second installation in Sweden September 2015.

Automatic Bat Monitoring & Protection
DTBat® is a self-working System that detects bat presence in real-time, and takes automatic actions linked to bat detection.
Remarkable applications of DTBat® System are:

DTBat® Clients have access to the DTBat® System recordings through an online Software Application named DTBat® Data Analysis Platform (DAP).
DTBat® Detection Module
DTBat® Detection Module surveys the airspace with Bat recorders, detecting and recording bat passes in real-time. Installation design and operational settings are customized for any Target Species and WTG dimensions.
DTBat® Detection Module is equipped with 1 to 3 Bat recorders installed at height on the WTG tower and/or on the nacelle. Recorders are placed in specific locations to achieve the best surveillance of the moving blades area.
DTBat® Stop Control Module
DTBat® Stop Control Module automatically Stops and restarts WTG according to bat activity detected in real-time and/or environmental variables.
Stop trigger and Stop duration criteria are adjustable to target Species or to cover a % of the total bat activity detected (e.g WTG stopped for 95% of the bat activity detected).
DTBat® Data Analysis Platform (DAP)
DTBat® DAP is a complete online Software Application to provide transparent access to review bat sonograms, environmental data and WTG operational parameters. Graphics and Automatic Service Reports for selected periods are also available. Includes two access right levels: Analyzer and Manager.

DTBird® & DTBat® features are demanded by environmental administrations of an increasing number of countries. DTBird® has released the results of an independent study evaluating the detection capabilities of its latest bird monitoring models (F4, A4, F6, A6, and T). The assessment, conducted by the company, used a controlled field methodology to objectively measure maximum and effective detection distances for each model, providing wind farm operators and environmental managers with transparent, verifiable performance data.
